Islamabad Club Family Hike – Rumli Track | Sunday, 7 December 2025
On a crisp and shiny Sunday Moring around 30 hikers ventured to reach Rumli village for a refreshing morning hike to explore Rumli, Valley, one of the quieter and less-visited tracks of the Margalla National Park.
Most of the hikers explored this valley for the first time. The connecting road from Quaid e Azam University to Rumli is well constructed and offer beautiful scenic views in two km ride to the village. Once the hikers reached the village Rumli they were further guided to the track by the Wildlife Rangers. Islamabad Club support team was already at the site to help registration and standees and the safety bibs. The 4.5 km one-way trail was steep in the beginning and got comfortable and a flat ascend. The hikers happily reached the top of the mountain where they came across some wild monkeys and donkeys. They got excited to catch the sight of Chillah Gah of Bari Imam Shrine. Some of the hikers visited the shrine accompanied by the Wildlife rangers and experienced the sufi atmosphere. After reaching to the starting point they were rewarded and energized themselves by fresh organic fruits. Hikers enjoyed a wide and sumptuous breakfast with wide range of omelletes and curries including ‘crisis omelets’ at Majeed’s Hut, Quid e Azam University where some hikers revived their memories of student life. The discussions over the breakfast table were enlightening and oriented towards society’s development and positivity.
This was one of the most enjoyed hike. Thanks to the Sports Administration and the Wildlife Department for their excellent Support.
Our next hike is planned for Trail 1 on Sunday 14 December 2025.
