Family Hiking Trail 4 – Sunday, 5 October 2025 – Hike #19

More than 26 enthusiastic hikers gathered at Pir Sohawa Road early in the morning to take on 7 km return hike on Trail 4. The weather was overcast and delightfully pleasant. With the monsoon season behind us, the flora and fauna were breathing afresh.
Before setting off, hikers stretched their muscles with a light warm-up drill. The trail offered a few challenges, with water still flowing at two points, requiring careful crossing. As the group ascended, the air grew noticeably cleaner and carried a refreshing herbal scent.
Upon reaching the top at the famous selfie point, everyone paused to take in the stunning panoramic views of Islamabad. Some hikers broke into national songs, perfectly complementing the serene and patriotic atmosphere. No one seemed in a hurry to leave, wanting to absorb the tranquility and beauty of the place.
The descent was quicker, and a group of hikers wrapped up the morning with breakfast at Islamabad Family Hall, sharing stories and reflections from the hike.
The Hiking Committee thanks all participants and looks forward to the next adventure, planned for Sunday, 19 October 2025. Further details will be shared shortly. We look forward to welcoming you again on the trails as we return to our regular hiking rhythm.
