Hiking activity at trail 2
Our members experienced an exciting hiking activity at trail 2 with full participation of all ages and genders- including children, women and men. This was an amazing family activity enjoyed by all that combined fun, creativity, encouraged team work by celebrating peace and victory in recent war, plantation derive and a combined breakfast allowing insightful and festive bonding moments amongst the members.
The hike commemorated peace, victory in the recent war and thankfulness by playing and singing national songs at Daman e Koh and on the trail.
As per Chairman CDA ‘s vision to regenerate and revive Margalla National Park, tree plantation was implemented by the hiking Committee of Islamabad Club with full support of dutiful CDA and Islamabad Club staff. The activity of throwing mud wrapped seeds in the form of mudballs was enjoyed by all the hikers specially the young ones- hoping to see the seeds growing into green trees one day.
After completion of almost 4 km of hike, the hikers enjoyed a well-deserved hearty breakfast at Islamabad Club and exchanged insights on a range of useful topics.
Hiking Committee is grateful to CDA for extending full support for this activity. The Committee also extends appreciation to the Sports Wing of Islamabad Club for their continuous support in organizing our regular hiking activities on Sundays.
