Islamabad Club Summer Squash Tournament 2025

The Islamabad Club Squash Committee successfully organized the Summer Squash Tournament 2025, held from July 28 to August 2, 2025, featuring thrilling matches across multiple categories including: U13, U17, Men’s 50+, Women’s Open, and Men’s Open.

The tournament attracted a remarkable number of participants and spectators. The finals were keenly contested with some matches going the distance and saw a large turnout of family members, friends, squash enthusiasts, and senior veteran players who actively participated by appreciating the skills of the contestants and applauding each point. The event showcased exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and the growing passion for squash among our club members and their families, especially the young players.

The results of the finals in each category were as follows:

- U13 Final: Zaraar Imran defeated Rayyan Adeel 3–0
- U17 Final: Zaraar Imran defeated Ali Murtaza 3–0
- Men’s 50+ Final: Amir Raheem defeated Zia-ud-Din Kasi 3–2
- Women’s Open Final: Farah Jamal defeated Ayesha Fatima 3–2
- Men’s Open Final: Nabhan Kasi defeated Zallan Kasi 3–0

In his opening address, Raja Rehan Arshad, Co-Convener of the Squash Committee, lauded the club administration for their support in hosting an event of this scale and expressed gratitude to all participants, spectators, and especially the tournament organizing committee comprising squash coach Zubair Khan, Adeel Asghar and Taimur Shafiq for planning and organizing the tournament to make it a resounding success.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Sohail Nasir, Convener Sports Committee and Member Managing Committee of Islamabad Club, graced the finals and award ceremony. In his remarks, Mr. Nasir, himself a squash player and sports enthusiast, highlighted the importance of sports, particularly squash, and encouraged young players and their parents to continue nurturing their passion for the game.

Prizes were given to winners and runners-up, acknowledging their dedication and performance. Certificates of participation were also given to junior players as recognition and encouragement. Others present on the occasion included Squash Committee Members Amir Raheem Qureshi, Adeel Asghar, Taimur Shafiq, senior squash players of Islamabad Club, Assistant Secretary, Sohail Shigri, Sports Supervisor, Saddam Imtiaz, spectators, and the Squash Coach Zubair Khan and his team.

A heartfelt thank you to all players, parents, and members for their enthusiastic participation and support. The success of this event reflects our club’s vibrant sporting culture and commitment to promoting squash at all levels. The high participation in all categories is testimony that the efforts of coach Mr. Zubair Khan and his team, and the Squash Committee, for raising interest about squash, is bearing fruit. With the continuous support of the Club Management especially to ensure the excellent facility provides international standards of infrastructure and services, the Squash Club can attain the status of an international squash complex capable of housing international squash tournaments.
