Hiking Trail 4

Despite an early start, at 6:30 the air was saturated with humidity and the resolved hikers; enjoyed the winding gradients and steep ascends leading to the top of the trail.

Our hikers had climbed Trail 4 previously on 3 Dec 2023 and now again explored the magical, mystical beauty, calm and peaceful surreal surroundings of flora and fauna. A scented aroma of wild Jasmine and other herbs was a soothing for body and soul of the hikers.

The valorous hikers reached the selfie view point in approximately 35 minutes. The view from the ‘Selfie Point’ of the trail is breathtaking, with an amazing sight of spirals of Pir Sohawa Road as if it is hand carved on a thick vegetation up towards Margalla Hills.

The spectacular sight of a skyline covered in thick clouds and the haze was a treat to the eyes.

Hikers captured the scenic beauty of the trail with their cameras to convert into lasting memories; cultivated new friendships and chatted during this dauntless early morning activity. Together they celebrated the conquest to the top of the mountain singing patriotic song, ‘Dil dil Pakistan’.

Encouraging Youth and Female Participation

Our hikes are family oriented; the Hiking Committee encourages participation of children, youth, women and mature age family members.

Future Hiking Plans

Everyone went back with a refreshed energy which helps them sail through the mundane coming week!

The convener thanked the participants specially the young trailblazers and the females whose presence and energy made this hike truly special.

Our next hiking trip is being planned in October 2024.

The Hike to trail 4 was managed by Anjum Assad Amin (Convener), Sidra Shahid (Member) Islamabad Club Hiking Committee in cooperation with Sports Administration team of Islamabad Club.
