Live Musical Tribute to 75 years of Pakistani Film Music

Programmes & Entertainment Committee of Islamabad Club brings you yet another occasion to rejuvenate yesteryears music, touching everyone’s soul, heart and mind.

An exclusive event has been curated which will pay tribute to singers, composers & lyricists, associated with Pakistani Film Music industry in the last 75 years by way of live orchestra band having fifteen players and seven singers. They will enthrall the audience by taking them on a nostalgic journey capturing the entire seven decades.

The theme of the programme envisages playing medleys of popular Pakistani film songs instead of full songs to cover the entire era in about 2.30 hours thereby giving taste & memories of each decade gone.

The event is planned on 11 May 2024, at 6 pm at back lawn of the Club. While it is open for members and up to three guests per member are welcome owing to limited number of seats.

One Day Workshop On Summer Season Vegetable

Quranic Arabic Classes & Seerat Un Nabi (SAW) Lectures

As we approach the holy month of Ramadan, the Library and Literary Committee is planning two sets of activities in the coming weeks:

1. Quranic Arabic Classes
2. Lectures on Seerat un Nabi [SAW]

The introductory Quranic Arabic Class would be held during Ramazan, aimed at the comprehension of the common suras and duaas recited frequently. The classes would be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 11h00 to 13h00.

The first Seerat Lecture would be held on Friday 8th March at 5 PM. Insha Allah

Dear Member,

The launch of Yoga classes at Islamabad Club in October 2023 was highly appreciated by the members with an overwhelming response from the participating members.

After a successful four months, the Yoga classes will continue as an ongoing feature of the Club. Our certified and experienced Yoga instructors (Mr. Hasan Ali Abbasi & Ms. Marryum Raza) will offer various styles of Yoga for males, females, and people from all age groups to cater to every individual’s needs.

Along with traditional Yoga, we also have dedicated wellness and meditation sessions. Our dedicated yoga instructors help each member with Yoga bricks, Yoga straps to achieve their asana in a secure and comfortable environment.

  • EOI for Cycling activity in the Club

In view of growing interest in cycling, to start with, a track was established adjacent to the cricket ground on the Sports West side. It is to provide a secure and healthy venue for club members and the families particularly the beginners.

The club plans to expand the cycling activities that could include but not limited to a longer track, velodrome, outdoor activities like cycling tours and interaction with prominent cyclists. To do that we need to have a fair idea of the number of members who would be interested to participate in cycling activities. If you are interested, please indicate so by email at [email protected]

  • Carry your membership cards while visiting the Club

    In view of the prevalent security situation in the country, Islamabad Club is taking essential measures to ensure the safety of its members, their families, guests and the staff. Under obligation of Club regulations and to avoid inconvenience please carry your membership cards while visiting the Club.

    Your kind attention is also drawn to the relevant Club regulations, reproduced below, for information and kind compliance please:

     “|Security:

    1. (a)       Members shall always carry their Membership Cards issued by the Club when visiting the Club. Entry/service could be refused without the membership card.

     (b)        No private/official armed body guards and escort vehicles are allowed to enter in the Club. All such personnel/vehicles will be stopped at the first entry point of the Club. Members are expected to instruct their bodyguards and security/escort personnel to cooperate with the Club Security staff in this regard.

     (c)        Room Guest/Member should deposit their weapons (if any) on check-in time and collect upon check-out time from main gate security check post.

     (d)        Security staff of the Club is authorized to inspect the luggage/vehicle of any visitor, on requirement, under the intimation/approval of the Secretary and/or Administrator.”

     “USE OF CLUB BY CHILDREN OF MEMBERS

    1.         Childrenmust always be in possession of membership cardsissued by the Club when visiting the Club. Entry to the Club could be refused without the card. Expired card holder shall also be treated as non-member”.

  • December 18, 2022 – University Admissions Workshop

Islamabad Club is pleased to be hosting an interactive “University Admissions Workshop” on the 27th and 28th of December (11am sharp start) for members children. Through conversations with students who have successfuly navigated the admissions process for UK and US universities, members and their families can gain insight into selecting the right university, filling in application forms, grade requirements and financial support.

Our speakers for the workshop are: (1) Taimur Aziz, a graduate of Harvard University now pursuing a Masters at the University of Chicago, (2) Sarah Jehaan Khan, a graduate of Oxford University, now working on strengthening human rights legislation at the Ministry of Human Rights in Pakistan, and (3) Abdullah Shah, a graduate of Cambridge University, now working at an international law firm in London.

There are limited places which will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Interested students are welcome to attend and to make the best of the session, we recommend those finishing their O-Levels or in their A-Levels to attend. However, please note that it is encouraged one person accompany each student in the interests of space. The sessions on each day will be the same, and are being held on two separate days to accomodate further interest.

  • Humorous Poetry Evening

  • July 07, 2022 – Rules & Regulations about Member’s Guest
    The Club is a facility for the members. In order to ensure convenience of the Members, and also on recommendations of many members, the Management Committee, in accordance with the prevalent rules & regulations of the Club, has decided that henceforth Member’s guests shall only be allowed at the Dining facilities, Cinema, Riding, Golf, Guestrooms and facilities at the West Wing (Polo, Futsal, and Cricket Academy & Pavilion Cafe). Guests shall not be allowed at any other facility.This shall be strictly enforced after Eid holidays, i.e. w.e.f. July 13, 2022. Members are requested to kindly ensure this arrangement for convenience of other Members, & cooperate with the Management in this regard.
  • July 01, 2022 -Islamabad Club Rules & Regulations 2022

The Islamabad Club Rules and Regulations facilitate all honorable members to the optimum and mandate strict compliance with the Code of Conduct on the premises of Islamabad Club.

We are pleased to apprise that for the first time in the Club’s history, Federal Government approved Rules and Regulations of the Club are enforced and uploaded on Club’s website (declared as e-Notice board) under member’s login information and convenience.

Consequently, members are expected to ensure thorough compliance of Rules and Regulations of the Club. Besides, we would particularly like to draw the attention of our valuable members on the following issues:

  1. E-Membership Cards:

Membership E-cards were introduced almost a decade back to provide efficient services to members and to keep track of the facilities used for long term planning in order to manage, improve and develop the Club facilities in the light of available data. Due to sizeable members at present it has now become imperative to enforce the digital tools especially swiping of membership card at all of its outlets/ POS’s for efficiency, flawless billing and to maintain data of members using the Club facilities. Our staff has been briefed to implement the same. Members are requested to cooperate and kindly show/ swipe their membership cards while visiting/using the services at any point of sale (location). Relevant Regulation in this regard is reproduced, as under;

  • “Members shall always carry their Membership Cards issued by the Club when visiting the Club. Entry/service could be refused without the membership card.”

2. Significant sections of Regulations regarding Billing affairs/ Suspension & Termination etc. on payment default/un-known status:

  • Billing affairs:

In the first week of each month, all members of the Club will be sent an e-bill for the previous month containing monthly Club subscription, other dues and expenses incurred by the member. The bill must be paid by the end of the month, failing which, late fee at the rate of 2.5% per month on outstanding balance will be charged.

In case the bill is not received by any member by 15th day of the month, the member must obtain a duplicate copy of the bill. Payment of Club dues shall be the sole responsibility of the member and must be made by end of the month/specified date. Club shall not be responsible for late fee so charged or stoppage of facility, suspension, and termination of membership due to non-payment of bills for any reason

  • Suspension & Termination on payment default/un-known status

Maximum period for suspension/reinstatement is one year from the date of effective suspension. After this period the membership shall be treated as terminated. Such membership shall not be restored in any circumstances.

  • Transfer Of Membership:

Membership can be transferred in the name of the spouse only in the case of member’s death subject to fulfillment of pre-requisites. If the spouse is not interested it shall stand cancelled/ ceased.

Membership shall only be transferred by personal appearance of the applicant.

Transfer of membership can be processed within six (6) months from the date of death of the member. After expiry of stipulated period no such claim may be entertained.

3. Club Regulations reg. Maids/ Servants:

“Private servants, drivers, body guards and maid servants etc. may rest/use the designated areas only.”

Moreover, Club discourage all sort of underage servants/ maids and expect members to adhere the Regulations of the Club as well as the law of land regarding child maid/servants.

Islamabad Club, amid rapid changes in technology and environment, is constantly evolving its services to serve our esteemed members for more ease and convenience. In the same spirit we are pleased to introduce/ announce the followings:

SMS Alert System/ Revamped Member’s Web Portal:

SMS alert system has been introduced wherein members will receive instant SMS against the services used in the Club premises. Presently the service is available for catering and sports (except Golf, Riding & Polo facilities) for all cash and credit transitions/ bills. SMS will be sent only to the principal member’s one mobile number which is saved/ entered in the member’s profile.

Moreover, member’s web portal has been revamped for more convenience and facilitation of members.

1Link/1Bill Payment System:

1Link/1Bill payment system has been introduced for more ease and comfort wherein our members can make online payments easily without any cost. This facility provides online payment to Islamabad Club from internet Banking, Mobile applications, ATMs etc with more ease and comfort. This facility is user-friendly without any hassle. Following are some of the key features:

  • Round-the-clock Payment Service through all ADCs (Alternate Digital Channels e.g. Internet Banking, Mobile App, ATM etc)
  • Cashless Transactions with no geographical limitation for Payments.
  • Centralized repository of Billing Data and Real-time-instant payment from Depositor account.
  • One window operation, payment through multiple ADCs of approx. thirty eight (38) 1Link Banks.

 Following are the details of transaction process using 1Limk/1Bill system:

  1. Islamabad Club Member will select 1Link/1Bill option at bank’s ADC. Initial Guidance can be obtained from the relevant bank. The Club associates are also available for assistance in case of any un-resolved issue.
  2. Islamabad Club has already allocated a unique “1Link/1Bill reference number” to each IC member which can be obtained from:
  1. Members may enter the assigned 1Link/1Bill reference # (100325001XXXXXXX).
  2. Since 1 Link/1Bill is integrated with Islamabad Club MIS, therefore outstanding due monthly bill amount of last month will be displayed to the members against assigned reference number.
  3. Member may verify the due payment from their monthly bill and initiate the payment.
  4. After confirmation of payment an auto SMS shall be received from Islamabad Club for successful payment or member may use Club’s profile to view his/her statement.

We are pleased to announce the approval of the first ever set of ‘Islamabad Club Rules, 2022; duly approved by the Federal Government under obligation of section 10 of the Islamabad Club (Administration) Ordinance 1978 and ratification of the Islamabad Club Regulations 2022. These shall commence at once i.e. w.e.f. 5th April 2022.

Copy of the Gazette of Pakistan containing the Islamabad Club Rules, 2022 and copy of Islamabad Club Membership Regulations 2022 has been updated on the Club’s website (declared as e-Notice board) for information and convenience. Thank you.

  • Aug 30, 2021 – Major reflections of Islamabad Club Capital & Revenue Budget 2021-22

In view of the augmented inflationary levels, tariff of few of our facilities have been revised and suitably adjusted for the current fiscal year 2021-22 to reflect increased cost and to overcome the inflationary pressures, as under.

MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS:

– Corporate Members to Rs. 11,325/- per month.

– Service/ Tenure Members to Rs.3,025/- per month with increase of Rs.300.

– Non-Service/ Parliamentarians Members to Rs. 4,825/- per month with increase of Rs.500.

Policy regarding age based discounts in monthly subscriptions will remain the same.

GYMNASIUM:

Gymnasium monthly subscription for subscribed members has been fixed at Rs. 4,500/- per month, while guest charges will be Rs. 1,000/-.

 FOOD AND BEVERAGES:

In addition to price adjustment of few meat items, the prices of Buffet & A la carte menu have been enhanced by 10%.

GUEST ROOMS:

Guestrooms rental has also been rationalized with usual annual increase.

  • Aug 3, 2021 – Temporary Closure of Few Facilities due to latest wave of COVID

In the spirit of NCOC decisions and subsequent notification by ICT Administration, due to latest wave of impending Coronavirus, to ensure the health and safety of our members, guests, and employees, Club Cinema, Swimming Pools (Indoor & Open) & indoor dining will remain closed with immediate effect and until further notice. Status of other Club facilities will be, as under:

Outdoor Dining Facilities:

All outdoor dining will be closed at 10:00pm throughout weekdays. Outdoor Party Reservations upto limited number of guests will be entertained; in line with NCOC decision and under strict COVID SOPs. While indoor party reservations/gatherings of all kind will remain suspended.

Entertainment:

Along with Cinema all musical events/gatherings and Tombola shall also remain discontinued.

All indoor dining facilities along with related services are operative with 50% sitting capacity and for vaccinated members only; while outdoor dining at Family Hall Patio, Club Café Deck, Golf Terrace & PDR, Riding Lawn and Polo Snack Bar will remain operative as per routine.

Regular buffet, Hi-Tea, BBQ Buffet and Sunday brunch will be served under strict COVID SOPs.

Moreover, Takeaway, Club patisserie, Room Service and Food Home Delivery service will remain operational as usual.

Entertainment and other services/Facilities:

As new movies will be received on 8th July therefore, Club Cinema will be operational from 9th July, 2021 for vaccinated members only and with strict COVID SOPs. Movie schedule will be shared accordingly.

  • June 22, 2021 – Resumption of Indoor sports

In view of the improved situation of the pandemic and approval by the Government, we are pleased to announce the reopening of indoor sports facilities from Wednesday June 23, 2021.

Besides, in the same spirit the Club Gymnasium will now operate on full time basis, on previous timing and arrangements, from 6:30am to 10:00pm. Spa will remain closed till further notice. In line with NCOC’s latest decisions, the Club management is pleased to announce the gradual resumption of sports facilities as under:

  • March 2021 – Addition of Parents under family membership / Age limit Extension for Children

Pursuant to approval of the competent authority vide approval note dated February 11, 2021 in anticipation of Club Rules & Regulations. Effective March 1, 2021, the following policies regarding membership affairs have been revised as under:

(i) Age limit of Family Members:

Age limit for family members i.e. daughters and sons of members, has been extended from 26 years to 30 years. Other terms and conditions will remain the same (i.e. to be unmarried and non-earning etc.)

Documents required to process the family membership card:

– Card extension application by the principal member

– Copy of family member CNIC

– Photo (Passport size & blue background)

Subscription of Unmarried daughters availing the facility in UMD category will now be applicable from the age of 30 years. Parent member(s) may proceed for issuance of membership card in the extended age category (i.e. 26 to 30), without additional subscription.

(ii) Addition of Parents (above the age of 65 years) in Family Membership:

Parents or parents in law, above the age of 65 years, as per members’ choice, to be considered as their family and use the Club as such, subject to fulfillment of codal formalities and conditions. They will be issued separate family member cards. One set of parents is allowed at a time. Other terms and conditions of family members shall remain the same except of un-married and non-earning.

  • REOPENING OF CLUB FACILITIES

In line with the improved situation and under strict observance of NCOC/ ICT District Administration SOPs/guidelines regarding COVID-19 re-openings, we are pleased to announce a staggered opening of certain facilities/activities with “pandemic specific” SOPs for each facility/activity as per the following schedule

  1. Sports Facilities:

All indoor Sports facilities including gym will reopen on Monday, February 1, 2021, except indoor pool which will be operational on Thursday, February 04, 2021 after due preparations i.e., water filling etc.

2. Dining Facilities:

Indoor Dining facilities, including Darbar hall will remain closed till further instructions; however, daily regular lunch buffet will be served in the back lawn, adjacent to the Family Hall.

As we prepare to reopen our doors, please be assured that your safety – and the safety of all our members, guests, and staff– is our number one priority. In this regard, it is recommended to follow all the SOPs diligently, to sustain a healthy and safe place for all of us.

  • January 2021 – Revision in policies regarding membership affairs

  1. Absentee policy:

The absentee facility has been revoked with immediate effect. Accordingly, regular monthly subscription, of the relevant category, shall be charged to all members from January 2021. For more information kindly contact Billing desk at 051-9046164/5 or email at [email protected] or [email protected]

  1. Processing fee on refund:

10% processing fee shall be deducted in refund cases on account of advance entrance fee for all types of membership categories (applicable to existing and new applications).

  1. Liability of Proposer/Seconder:

Further to acceptance of liability in case of default, few other conditions are added as follows:

“ In case a candidate is deferred by the Committee, the Proposer and Seconder shall not be allowed to propose/second any other candidate till the final decision is taken regarding the subject candidate. Similarly, if a candidate is rejected by the Committee, the Proposer and Seconder shall not be allowed to propose/second any other candidate for the next 3 calendar years.”

Requirement for Non-Service Applicants:

In case of Non-Service membership, a candidate needs to provide the following documents.

  • CNIC Copy along with
  • Income Tax returns for last 3 years (for individual candidate) and
  • Form-20/Company Balance Sheet for last 3 years (for Company Shareholders),
  • Salary slip and/or service certificate (for Provincial Government Officers, Officers of autonomous bodies, authorities and other organizations of the Federal Government not falling in service category, other such applicants and self employed persons such as Lawyers, Doctors etc).

This policy is also applicable to existing and new applicants alike.

Please be apprised that under the rules and regulations of the Club, it is prerogative of the Administrator and the Managing Committee to make or amend any policy or regulations as deemed necessary from time to time, for the efficient operation of the Club, and shall be binding upon all members.

– Wearing of mask and gloves is mandatory.

– Distance should be maintained while request is handled by the library staff.

– Only takeaway facility would be offered for books, magazines and DVD as per prevailing policy. (Due to       prevailing global logistic issues, latest international magazines may not be available).

– Sitting facility in the library is not available (for any purpose).

– Library material can also be reserved over the call during above stated timings.

– Newspaper will not be available including other facilities i.e. photocopy.

– Material will only be issued upon presenting membership card.

– Issued material can be returned as per library timings.

  • October 31, 2020  – Entry to Polo grounds for Final Match

Due to the second wave of COVID, entry for spectators is closed for the Polo final match (Sunday Nov 1, 2020). We are looking forward to hosting you in the future, once the Covid situation improves to safe levels.

  • October 31, 2020  – Swimming Pool

With the advent of the winter season, Open Swimming Pool will remain closed from 1st November 2020 till 31st March 2021. However, as per practice covered pool facility will remain available as under;

Ladies Timings: 11:00 am – 1:15 pm and 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Gents Timings: 6:30 am – 10:50 am, 1:25 pm – 4:50 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

  • August 11, 2020  – Resumption of Regular Club Operations

Pursuant to the decision of the Federal Government, it is to inform our honorable members the Club has resumed its regular operation (under strict SOP’s). All Club facilities and services are functional except for Cinema and Open Swimming Pool which are expected to be operative within the next few days.

Moreover, we are pleased to announce that keeping in view the convenience and demand of our members a ‘Laundry Service Point/Shop’ has been set up; in collaboration with the Pearl Continental Hotels for provision of quality laundry services on concessional rates. The laundry service is now operational and is located in Club Arcade alongside Club Patisserie. Honorable members may contact Laundry Service Point at # 051-9046242 for further info/services.

  • July 30, 2020  – Eid Greetings & further updates

May the eternal peace from heaven embrace your life on this Eid ul Adha and fill it with uncountable blessings.

Due to Unprecedented pandemic situation (COVID-19) in the country, Club was forced to temporarily close the services and then managed to offer limited services in few areas as permissible. Currently, Golf, Polo, Riding, Tennis, Guest Rooms, Library along with Food Takeaway and Patisserie are open for members under certain SOP’s. The pandemic situation however, is getting better now day by day with the blessing of Allah AllMighty. Accordingly, we are eagerly looking forward to greet our honorable members once we’ll be able to re-open the remaining Club facilities as soon as possible subject to instructions of Government since members’ health and safety is our utmost concern and is important than anything else.

Moreover, in the meantime we tried to utilize this desolate time period for some yield by anyway and hence are pleased to announce the following achievements take effect from 1st July, 2020; with the start of new financial year 2020-21.

  1. A new website replacing the older version with fresh look and feel blended with ease of info, has gone live. Members can now experience fast and easy browsing at www.islamabadclub.org.pk. along with required information regarding club facilities, updated news, events and much more.
  2. New design for membership card with in-house printing capability has been introduced. Members may replace their cards with the new one for a better experience. Meanwhile, old cards will also remain valid.
  3. Club regulations including membership regulations has been rehashed and updated for the ease, effectivity and convenience of our members. Copy of the same would be updated shortly on Club website and also be available approximately from Mid of August for collection by members.
  4. After the recent launch of new menu at Family hall and Darbar Hall, new menu at Club Patisserie has also been introduced. The new menu features appetizing bakery items primed to satisfy your taste buds. Due to escalation in commodity prices, inflation and subsequent increase in operational cost the prices of existing and new menu items have been adjusted accordingly.
  5. Moreover, due to escalating costs and increase in operating expenses, the Club management was compelled to enhance/adjust the charges/prices of some other facilities/ services which were not adjusted for many years to ensure quality services for our members. The revision will come in effect from 1st August, 2020. We are confident that our honorable members will take it all in the spirit that these measures deserve.

  • July 14, 2020  – Library Services on Takeaway Basis

Keeping in view the member’s demand and with proper SOP’s, the Club management has decided to open the Library from 15th July, 2020 on takeaway basis. The library will be operative from 10 am to 4 pm (Monday – Friday) for members and family card holders  for books issuance and returns only, under the following SOP’s:.

Library Standard Operating Procedure:

  1. Wearing of mask and gloves is mandatory.
  2. Distance should be maintained while request is handled by the library staff.
  3. Only takeaway facility would be offered for books, magazines and DVD as per prevailing policy. (Due to prevailing global logistic issues, latest international magazines may not be available).
  4. Sitting facility in the library is not available (for any purpose).
  5. Library material can also be reserved over the call during above stated timings.
  6. Newspaper will not be available including other facilities i.e. photocopy.
  7. Material will only be issued upon presenting membership card.
  8. Issued material can be returned as per library timings.
  9. Children are not allowed.
  10. MLKRR section would remain closed.
  11. Suggestions/Feedbacks are welcome via library email address.
  12. For any other concern apart from takeaway service, members are advised to contact on library number (051-9046229) during business hours.

  • June 24, 2020  – Takeaway facility operational at Golf & PoloFurther to availability of Takeaway service and Club patisserie, kindly note that Take-away service with limited menu is now available at Polo Snack Bar and Golf Club House as well for the convenience of honorable members.   • June 06, 2020  – Closure of Ladies Beauty Salon & Barbershop (Men)

Pursuant to directives of the District Administration Islamabad vide notification 1(135)-HC (G)/2020 dated 05-06-2020 the services of Ladies Beauty Salon and Barber Shop (Men) are being closed again effective immediately and till further orders. Already opened sports facilities i.e. Tennis, Golf, Riding & Polo will remain operational. However, no further facility has been allowed for opening by the Government keeping in view the current situation of the prevalent pandemic.

Moreover, Take-away and Club Patisserie will also remain available for members. Operational timing of Take-Away will be 11:00am – 11:00pm (# 051-9046224 & 9046226) while Club Patisserie will be 8:00am – 8:00pm (# 051-9046241). The Club’s main PABX 051-9046000 – 051-8447000 is also be operative from 09:00am – 10:00pm for any further assistance.

Cash Counter (051-9046162) is operational from 10:00am – 6:00pm (Mon-Fri) for bill deposits and related services. Billing Desk services is also available from 10:00am – 4:00pm (to handle billing queries on phone 051-9046164 & 051-9046165. However, public dealing will remain closed for the time being). Members can pay their bills on-line or through drop-box facility available at Main Entrance and near ATM machine.

Further to the opening of Polo, Riding, Tennis and Golf facilities, the services of Barbarshop and Women’s Beauty Salon are also resumed. Both Ladies & Gents Salons would be operational Seven (7) days a week however Ladies Beauty Lounge will be closed on 1st day of Eid while Men’s Salon/Barbar Shop will be closed on the 1st & 2nd day of Eid. Moreover, Take-away and Club Patisserie would also be operational from 1st day of Eid. Subsequent to ICT District Administration notification No.1 (1)-HC(G)/21020 dated 9th May 2020; whereby  opening of Tennis, Golf and Polo facilities have been allowed subject to Social distancing guidelines and SOPs issued by the Government. Accordingly, the Club management has decided to open these facilities on a limited scale, as per following schedule; subject to any revised instructions issued by the Government:

  • May 2, 2020  – Opening of track of Islamabad Club Polo                      Grounds (ICPG)

The management has decided to open the track of Islamabad Club Polo Grounds (ICPG) strictly for walking/jogging only. This facility will be for the use of Club members & their families only. No guests or sporting activities shall be allowed, nor food & beverages or any other services will be available to the members.
